Summer at the PAC
Summer in Green Valley is an experience. If you hibernate, you’ll miss the opportunity to try something different. We’ll be trying to interest you in INDOOR activities at the Parkinson’s Activity Center (PAC). Please read my daily emails to follow our news.
Here are some of the activities….Tuesday afternoons will be dedicated to arts and crafts such as creating spectacular designs with Diamond Dotz, making cactus centerpieces, exploring the art of rock painting, and crafting with beads.
Looking for something more physical? Let’s put the ping pong tables at the PAC to use. Let’s try ball drumming. Though the balls at the PAC are colorful, they’re not just decoration! Ball drumming is fun! It’s a workout whether standing or sitting. Don’t forget the electronic boxing device that Mia donated. Let’s try these activities on Saturday mornings to replace pole walking during hot weather.
Also, I have ordered a DVD of a TV series. After I preview it (something all teachers are told to do before showing movies), I’ll schedule movies and popcorn.
